Our staff is led by Clifton Coufal. He is a Texas Licensed Attorney and his areas of practice are elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid planning. His goal in practicing law is to make complex legal challenges easier to understand and provide the support and education his clients need to relieve the financial and emotional stress associated with long-term care expenses.
Clifton is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). This organization is comprised of attorneys who are experienced and trained in working with the legal problems of aging Americans and individuals of all ages with disabilities. The mission of NAELA is to establish NAELA members as the premier providers of legal advocacy, guidance, and services to enhance the lives of people with special needs and people as they age. Clifton is a member of the Elder Counsel a group of attorneys dedicated to the elder law practice. In addition, Clifton is a full member of the Texas Bar College– an honorary society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas. Members are qualified attorneys who are interested in both high ethical standards and improved training for all Texas attorneys.
Clifton has a J.D. and L.L.M. from the Duke University School of Law. He is also a graduate of Texas A&M University’s Mays business school and Dallas Baptist University. He and his family are actively involved in church ministry in north Texas.
